Installing, uninstalling or updating TransBar 5
The first installation of TransBar
On Windows, "TransBar_5_1_en.exe" is an installer file, downloadable from the table below, that you just need to run to obtain a traditional installation of both TransBar and its shortcut-aliases on the desktop and in the "Start" menu.
Under MacOS, TransBar comes in a virtual disk "TransBar_5_11_en.dmg" that you just have to open to drag TransBar into the "Applications" folder.
The software that you can download through the links provided in the table below will work in evaluation mode as long as no license key has been entered in one of their "Manage licenses" tab. In this mode of evaluation, the coded information will be degraded character by character!

Thus installed, the transcriber can be used from all computer sessions.
To create a new access in the Windows "Start" menu or in the MacOS "Dock", select the icon of a shortcut-alias or executable file and drag it to the chosen location.
A self-learning module is integrated into the software, let yourself be guided after the launch.
When necessary, the software will offer you the installation of barcode fonts. You can order TransBar to install them, manually or automatically, or save them to disk to install them according to your own habits.
Installation of a new sub-version of TransBar
The installation of a new sub-version can be done exactly like that of the original version and several sub-versions can coexist without any problem on the same computer; they will share license information but have their own launch preferences.
Uninstalling TransBar
Did you enjoy the TransBar review? Do not uninstall the software! Entering a serial number and a license key in the "Manage licenses" tab will be enough to switch this software to operational mode, at least for licensed encodings. Evaluation fonts will automatically be transformed into operational fonts.
Do you want to uninstall TransBar to change it?
- launch it in an admin session and view the "Manage Licenses" tab
- click on the "Delete the license(s) above" button, if this button is active
- display one of two tabs:
- "Manage Fonts Manually" and launch the menu "Manual Actions: Uninstall all TransBar fonts"
- "Manage fonts automatically" and choose the option "When TransBar closes: Uninstall all TransBar fonts"
- close TransBar
- in Windows 7, use the uninstaller available in "Control Panel: Add/Remove Programs"
- in Windows 10 or 11, use the uninstaller available in "Windows Settings: Applications"
- under MacOS, find the TransBar_X_x_en.app file located in the "Applications" folder, move it to the trash and its possible shortcuts-aliases, then empty the trash
